This mooring was so covered with moss and barnacles, with the water reflected the scene in such a beautiful way. I used a lot of different colors applied with a palette knife to create texture on the concrete. After the water was painted on I drew in thin lines drawn to suggest the movement. The orange buoy balances the scene with a splash of color.

This painting will be in a juried show at Delta college in San Joaquin Valley, California in the fall of 2010.
