After reading The Omnivore's Dilemma by Michael Pollan, I was motivated to paint what I got from the book. Basically, we are eating corn in almost everything. I did a lot of research about how corn is grown and processed to paint this. A lot of chemicals, like sulfuric acid, are required to make high fructose corn syrup and other corn byproducts. It is amazing how much of this stuff kids eat. If you notice, the mother buying groceries is holding a key in her hand. Consumers are the key to demanding, with our dollars, better quality of food.
